I'm cheating. They're Mustang floorboards I'm putting in the Ranchero because they're close enough and re: originality I'ma not give a fuck. Even at that I'm going to have to make up a little extra that this doesn't cover (rear seat shelf area that on a Ranchero is under the bed).

However, $270 shipped for this much, that almost fits perfectly? Why, yes. Yes please.

from the back of the doors forward, it would be a falcon floor pan right? We used Torino land when we did the rock damage repair on ours.

Cortina ones may fit, similar cars underneath. If you're in the states then they'd be just as, if not harder to find. A quick search on Google found a few suppliers in the UK. Otherwise I'd do what ramblin rover is doing and make some fit.

Im in Canada, i'm screwed no matter what I do. I'll probably make some up and roll a few beads in the pans. I've already built a full subframe for the car, so the pans have to work around that.

Ooohh k. By subframe, do you mean, an-almost-like-a-chassis-thats-attached-to-strengthen-the-monocoque? I've been thinking about do that to the Corty when I bolt the Clevo in.

Would be interested to hear how you've done yours? Or even a picture or diagram. Would appreciate if you could let me in on a few secrets or design ideas

Absolutely. I'll get some better pictures or even a video next time I see the car. But what I did was use a piece of 1 1/2" square tubing. After I re built the rear torque box, I cut open the front end of the rear subframe, sliding the square tube into the rail and rosette welding the tube through the frame rail. You can probably get away with welding a plate to the torque box and welding the subframe connector to that. In the front I cut the frame back a ways a built up the connector by stacking another tube on top of the connector.

I welded that to the front of the frame, and then ground it flat and welded another plate over top of the welds on the inside and outside, wording the perimeter and doing 3 or 4 rosette welds.

Here's the shade tree article. There are a couple pictures of the sunfrwma connector in there.

Cheers for the reply dude. Really nice explanation and some really good ideas too. I've been tossing up copying a system like this one:

But I like how yours is almost hidden. I can't recall what these Capri's look like underneath but it looks like this one above sits next to the "rails".

Definitely keeping your design in mind look forward to seeing pics later on.

Not sure if you were asking me if I had the floor pans out, gonna guess no as the OP is about them

i was asking g if the floors are currently cut out of the car. It will make the subframe connector much easier to do. Also, your car being Falcon bases you might be able to get away with using a slightly modified early mustang subframe connector. I'm not entirely sure, but it might be worth some research.

If you want to get crazy, a strut tower brace is a good idea too. My fathers Capri has a really heavy duty one, I'll find pics for ya later.

thats my subframe connector, i did the bends by pie cutting three sides of the tube with a death wheel.

and theres the brace for the shock towers. there are also 2 more bars the go down towards the radiator core support.
